ミズモノ MIZUMONO
白虎社出身の舞踏家 今 貂子とエレクトロニクスを融合したアコーディオン弾きのryotaro、そしてOHPを用いたライヴパフォーマンス”TIME PAINTING”の仙石彬人によって、2012年結成。即興ではあるが根底に流れる、それぞれの頭の中にある物語や風景、記憶や想像を一つの作品として体現する。

舞踏家・振付家。舞踏カンパニー倚羅座 主宰。今貂子舞踏研究所代表。’80年、舞踏グループ・白虎社の創立に参加。国内のみならずヨーロッパやアジア、南米の海外フェスティバルに舞踏手として出演。また、衣裳デザイン・製作も手掛ける。’94年、白虎社解散により独立。
’00年、自身のワークショップを母胎に自らカンパニーを結成。’05年にはヨーロッパツアーを実施し、スペイン・フランス・ドイツの各国で成功を収める。’07年より、大正期建造の和の劇場である五條會館 (旧 五條楽園歌舞練場)において、舞台機構の修復を行いながら新作公演を毎年開催し、’12年’13年と二年連続で文化庁芸術祭に参加。‘19年 還暦記念「闇の艶」公演 (先斗町歌舞錬場)開催。’16年 KYOTO舞踏館こけら落としより、ソロ作品「秘色」のロングラン公演を続ける。
日本の芸能の源流に見られる「たまふり(命の活性化)の力」に支えられたアバンギャルドな舞踏の探求を通じて独自の境地を開拓し、舞踏に新しい命を吹き込むべく、京都を拠点に精力的な活動を展開している。
Butoh Dancer, Choreographer, Butoh Company Kiraza Artistic Director, Director of Ima Tenko Butoh Studio. In 1980, Ima Tenko was a founding member of Byakkosha – one of the most acclaimed Butoh groups, performing with distinct recognition both abroad and locally. She also designed and produced costumes for them. With their breakup in 1994, she became an independent dancer.
In 2000, she started her own dance workshops and created the Butoh company Kiraza. In 2005, her company conducted a tour of Europe, performing in Spain, France, and Germany, receiving success and acclaim in each country. Every year since 2007, they have been performing to sold-out houses at the historical Gojo Kaikan Theatre in Kyoto. In 2012 and 2013, they also were chosen to perform in the National Arts Festival, sponsored by the Agency for Cultural Affairs, Government of Japan. In 2019,she performed -KANREKI anniversary-‘YAMI NOTSUYA’ at Pontochokaburenjo.Since 2016, she is performaing ‘Hisoku’ as long-run show at KYOTO Butoh-kan.
Through the exploration of the avant-garde form of Butoh, supported by the Shinto practice of Tamafuri, “reinvigorating the soul,” a practice seen at the heart of Japanese performing arts, Ima Tenko explores the frontiers of her own art and self. As an inheritor of Butoh, Ima Tenko uses Kyoto as a base to breathe new life and vigor into the form.

エレクトロニクスを融合したアコーディオン弾き。京都精華大学卒業し96年からナスノミツル (アルタードステイツ)、三条とおる (EP-4)らの[elements]に加入後、数々のアングラの巨匠達との共演を経て近年、梅津和時らと共に中山ラビのツアーメンバーを務め、アルバム[My Back Pages]をリリース。’12年よりFRYING DUTCHMANのレコーディングに参加した事をきっかけに、ツアーに同行。’16年より梶原徹也 (ex. THE BLUE HEARTS)、eiji (Dachambo)と共に正式にメンバー入り。
またミュージシャンだけでなくダンサー、パフォーマー、ペインター等との共演を展開。舞踏家の今 貂子 [舞踏] と 仙石彬人 [TIME PAINTING] とのパフォーマンスユニット[ミズモノ]を結成。ヨーロッパを中心に海外でのライヴ活動も精力的に行い、’15年にはHi Seoul Festival に出演。’10, ’11年と、coba主催のイヴェントに参加。’09年から京都木屋町UrBANGUILDのブッキング担当。早朝の三条大橋と猫をこよなく愛する。
ryotaro is a Kyoto based accordionist, composer and performer. He uses MIDIaccordion; intermixing accordion, synthesizer and programmed sounds to create compositions. He graduated in ’96 from Kyoto Seika University. Soon afterwards he formed the band “elements” with Mitsuru Nasuno (Altered States), , Toru Sanjyo and Yung Tsubotaj (EP-4). He has collaborated and improvised with various dancers (Marcelo Evelin, Catherine Contour, Takeshi Yazaki, Norihito Ishii (Sankaijyuku) etc). In 2008, ryotaro released his 1st solo album “Jelly, nico & I”.
Since 2010, he started working as a booking manager of an art space in Kyoto called UrBANGUILD (http://www.urbanguild.net), where he encountered and worked with different artists in the region such as Tenko Ima (Butoh dancer), and Akito Sengoku (TIME PAINTING). In 2015, ryotaro toured a dance piece “Emballage” in France: Bordeaux, Orelean, Paris and Stroud in England with Kyoto-based dancer Keiko Yamaguchi. He appeared in Hi Seoul Festival in 2015, and was invited to Busan International Improvisation Dance Festival and Bridge Dance Festival (Chicago) in 2019.
